  • thanksgiving

Thank you Jesus for the chance of knowing God and enjoying the blessings! helping me live in the Spirit.

Thank you Lord for answering my prayers and granting my heart's desire.

May Your will be done, for it is good. How can man fathom Your thoughts and plans? but that You make known to us through the guidance of Your Holy Spirit.

    I love You Lord.

  • His grace..

Thank God for his grace for keeping our company business low for my past 2 shifts (even on a sunday night, even in resus.) i pray for this every time i go to work.. - what a weird request? when everyone is crying for business in the recession. Well, when you know God as who He is - the Rock, the refuge, the fortress and shield, a loving Father who will always have the best at heart for you - you will learn to praise Him in times of blessings as well as times of suffering. For with suffering comes perseverance, and perseverance comes character, and hope.. *keeping aunty doris and joris in prayer..

work has been busy.. physically straining due to the hrs, mentally straining due to the stress - expectation of performance, n from the ppl u see and work with.. i also pray for His grace that i may be christlike in spite of the stressful environment , as well as opportunities to witness for Jesus - one thing i'm learning from an evangelistic colleague fren which i'm very impressed. his eagerness, his mindfulness, and his skill at it.

there are much free time in between the shift work - periods when other ppl are working in the office hrs. which allows me to be good to myself - spending lots of time on resting my body, and soul, and spending time on God's word.

one more month to go.....posting results not out yet... one more month... to find out n decide...

    cheers

  • Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, " He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the drakness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand will fall at your side; ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

If you make the Most High your dwelling - even the LORD, who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

"Because he loves me," says the LORD, " I will rescue him. I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him; with long live I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."

God has been faithful. He remembers His plans for us even when we've forgotten our calling.. have been engrossed and consumed by work the past yr+ .. it's wonderful to see God at work in different ppl's lives - calling us back at the same time to a particular service...

    Lord, here i am..
